Next-gen UI and Activity Manager available for Citrix Workspace

We are excited to announce the general availability of the revamped cloud-based Citrix application. Citrix has transformed the user interface (UI) into an ultra-sleek user portal with less clutter so users can access apps and desktops faster. Along with the new UI, a crucial session management feature, named Activity Manager, is now available for users to manage their desktops and app sessions.

As a premier Citrix partner in Canada, TruPoint works proactively to advance our TruWorkspace solution to include the latest offers from Citrix. We’ve been leveraging the Citrix Cloud for a while now, including transitioning legacy customers to leverage this latest architecture.

With this new release, TruPoint admins can enable the new UI for customers and their groupings of users. To see what Citrix has provided in the new experience go to Citrix Cloud Workspace Configuration > Customize > Features. After 6 months, the old UI will be decommissioned so we will be rolling out the new UI shortly.

  • Improved First Time Use experience where users with more than 20 resources can quickly favourite apps and desktops
  • A simplified view for users with less than 20 resources where all apps and desktops appear on the same page
  • Navigation has moved from the left pane to the top for a more modernized look and feel
  • Scalable categories and sub categories in folder structure with breadcrumb navigation
  • An enhanced search experience which includes recently used apps and desktops, and search results start to populate as the first letter is typed
